Oklahoma State's freshman Kayla Elmenhorst was the Reserve High Point winner on Sunday by winning her division at the Texas A&M Western show on Sunday.
"I am really proud of the teams performance," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "We have gained some ground on Texas A&M and are still in the hunt. Our goal is still to win our region and, if we keep on riding well, we can do it."
The Cowgirls had six individuals capture first-place titles en route to a second-place finish with 17 team points.
Freshmen Amy Scott, Leslie Hill, April Peck and Riley Ring all won their division, while junior Emily Hoaglan also won first.
OSU's sophomore Kristen Dickerson, junior Kristen Thomas, and sophomore Leigh Taylor each finished second.
Currently, the Cowgirls are in second place in the region with 72 team points on the year, three behind leader Texas A&M. West Texas A&M is in third with 68 and Kansas State rounds out the top four with 64 team points.
OSU concluded the Western portion of the fall and will look to open the Hunt Seat season next week as they travel to Canyon, Texas, for the West Texas A&M Hunt Seat Show.
