Cowboys Take Second in the Big 12 Cross Country Championships

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma State's men's cross country team took second today in the Big 12 Championship in Norman, Okla.
The Cowboys placed second behind the the top ranked team in the country, Colorado. The 8k race was won by Jorge Torres of Colorado with a time of 23:35.3. Texas A&M, Baylor, Nebraska and Texas rounded out the top six.
The first Cowboy to cross the finish line was Sophomore Jason Woolhouse. Woolhouse finished in eighth place with a time of 24:35.5. The next finisher was Junior Ben Lake who took 12th place and recorded a time of 24:38.2.
Ben Sigle, Junior, came in 19th with a time 24:52.7. Sophomore Derek Tate and Freshman Ewen North rounded out the team scoring finishing 24th and 30th respectively.
The Cowboys will next defend their District V Championship in two weeks at the District V Championships in Carbondale, Ill.
