OSU Women's Netters Advance at Riviera Championship

Oklahoma State's women's netters advance to the Doubles Main Draw at the Riviera Women's All-American Championships at Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Kataryzna Kolodynska advanced to the Doubles Main Draw after defeating Duke's Susie Abromeit and Amanda Johnson 8-5 on Wednesday in the Qualifying Round.
They won their first match of the day by outlasting Georgia's Anne Nguyen and Mariel Verban 9-8.
Faltynkova and Koldoynska won their first match on Tuesday by beating Southern California's Bernadette Bayani and Maureen Diaz 8-5.
The duo had to win three matches to advance to the Main Draw of tournament.
Faltynkova also performed in the women's singles competition.
She dropped her first match on Tuesday to USC's Diaz 6-, 3-6, 6-4. Faltynkova won her consolation match on Tuesday by beating William & Mary's Delphine Troch 6-2, 6-2.
Faltynkova and Kolodynska will play their next double's match on Thursday.
