Cowboys to Compete in Chili Pepper Saturday

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's cross country team will race in the annual Chili Pepper in Fayetteville, Ark. this Saturday.
The field will include Big 12 foes Oklahoma, Iowa State, Kansas State and Kansas, as well as nationally-ranked Arkansas and Portland. Abilene Christian, this year's Jamboree runner-up, will also compete.
The Cowboys are coming off a third-place finish in the Cowboy Jamboree on September 29th. Sophomore Jason Woolhouse led the Cowboys with an eighth-place finish in the event. Juniors Ben Lake, Ben Sigle, Jon Cordes, and sophomore Derek Tate also contributed to the team score.
Junior Ben Lake placed 16th in the Chili Pepper a year ago and is the top returning placer from last year for the Cowboys. The team tied Iona for third place last year, finishing behind host Arkansas and last years winner Abilene Christian.
The Cowboys will return to action on Oct. 27th for the Big 12 Championships in Norman, Oklahoma.
