Oklahoma State University Schedules Memorial Service

Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State University has scheduled a memorial service Wednesday, Jan. 31, to honor the victims of Saturday's plane crash in Colorado. The service is scheduled at 3 p.m. in the OSU Athletics Center (Gallagher-Iba Arena). Doors will open at 2 p.m. The public is invited.
Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating and OSU President James Halligan are scheduled speakers. Additional speakers will be added as the program is finalized.
OSU will request that the faculty allow students in 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. classes to attend the ceremony. Campus administrators also are asked to allow staff to attend as long as essential services are maintained.
Free parking will be provided for the victims' families in the OSU Student Union parking garage. Family members are asked to go to the lobby of the Student Union Hotel by 2 p.m. where they will receive further instructions on where to gather prior to being transported to the ceremony.
Persons who wish to send flowers should ask that they be delivered to the east lobby of the Athletics Center.
