Cowgirl Softball Hosts Final Home Games Of Fall Season

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's softball team will host the final home games of the fall season this Wednesday as the Cowgirls host a tripleheader scrimmage starting at 4 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium. Admission is free.
Oklahoma State is led offensively by senior second-baseman Lezli Leathers, who is currently batting .600 with 15 hits in 25 at-bats. The Stroud, Okla., native also leads the team in triples with two, slugging percentage (.880) and on-base percentage (.643). Senior Amanda Hayes is hitting 13-for-25 (.520), while catcher Ryan Realmuto is batting .484 and leads the team in doubles with six and runs batted in with 16.
On the mound, a trio of pitchers have been keeping the opposition from scoring. Sophomore ace Lauren Bay is 4-0 during the fall with a 0.34 earned run average and 26 strikeouts in 20-1/3 innings. She's also giving up a .076 batting average to opposing batters. Freshman Tiffany Paper has come out of the chute in fine fashion, and is 5-0 with a 0.84 ERA and 22 Ks in 25 innings. Freshman Kara Wentworth is 2-0 and has 10 strikeouts in 11 innings.
Oklahoma State is 11-0 this fall and will conclude the fall scrimmage season this weekend as the Cowgirls travel to Kansas City, Mo., to compete in the KC Invitational.
