STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's 17th-ranked men's cross country team will travel to Princeton, NJ this weekend for its second competition of the fall season.
The race, hosted by Princeton University, starts at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday and will take place on a Revolutionary War battle field.
"This gives the kids a chance to go to an away meet early," states OSU Coach Dick Weis about Saturday's meet. "The team can get together and find out what we are doing and how we do things. We have found it really pulls the kids together."
The Cowboys are coming off a win at the Wichita Gold Classic on Sept. 2. OSU dominated the meet finishing seven runners in the top ten. Weis says expectations are no different for this meet.
"Princeton is ranked 25th in the coaches poll and tenth in the Harrier, so they're pretty good," said Weis. "When we go down to Princeton, we expect our guys to win."
After Saturday's meet, the Cowboys come home to host the Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 30 at the OSU Cross Country Course.
