Cowgirls Crown Individual National Champion

ATLANTA, Ga. - Megan Walentine won the national championship in the advanced western horsemanship class as Oklahoma State's Equestrian team finished the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association national show today.
"I am really excited about how the show went," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "The girls performed really well. I'm proud that they made a showing like they did. It was a great way to end a good season."
Stephanie Hefley also placed fifth in the advanced western horsemanship class. Amy Allen was the reserve national champion in beginning western horsemanship, and Trista Armstrong placed fourth in the reining class.
In the hunt seat competition, Audrey Buck placed fifth in open equitation over fences and Jennifer Baughman placed 10th in the walk-trot-canter class.
