STILLWATER, Okla. -- The 56th-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team returns to action this weekend when they take on three conference opponents in as many days.
The Cowgirls, who are 10-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play, will travel to Columbia, Missouri on Friday for a 1 p.m. contest with the Missouri Tigers. OSU defeated Missouri twice last season and owns a 16-1 advantage in the series' history.
On Saturday, the Cowgirls will travel to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the No. 59 Kansas Jayhawks at 1 p.m. The two teams met twice a year ago, with each team winning once. However, the Cowgirls lead the all-time series 18-9.
The Cowgirls will conclude their road trip with an 11 a.m. clash against No. 42 Kansas State on Sunday in Manhattan. The Cowgirls defeated the Wildcats in their lone meeting last year and own a commanding 21-1 record all-time in the series.
"We are ready to face three quality teams. We are playing well and are excited to get back on the courts," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "Every match in the Big 12 is tough and playing on the road is definitely a challenge."
Freshman Linda Faltynkova will be looking to extend her winning streak to 12 consecutive matches. The Czech Republic native is 12-1 on the season and has not lost since a setback at the hands of Texas' Vladka Uhlirova on February 19.
The Cowgirls will return home for a non-conference battle against Tulsa on April 13 at the DuBois Tennis Center.
