Three Cowgirls Win Regional Championships In Hunt Seat Show

STILLWATER, Okla. - Three members of Oklahoma State's Cowgirl Equestrian Team won regional championships and five were reserve champions in the Zone 7 Region 2 hunt seat show this morning at the Animal Science Arena.
The top three riders in each class will advance to the Zone 7 show April 8 in Canyon, Texas, where they will compete against the top three riders from Region 1. The top two riders in the show will advance to the national show.
Ashley Bramlett won the open equitation over fences class for the Cowgirls. Jackie Skibicki added a first place finish in the open equitation on the flat class, and Susie Reed won the intermediate equitation on the flat class.
Audrey Buck was the reserve champion in both the open equitation over fences and the open equitation on the flat class, and Allysa Allen received reserve champion honors in the novice equitation over fences class. Sarah Hedrick finished second in the intermediate equitation on the flat class, and Trista Armstrong also added a reserve championship for the Cowgirls. Amy Eastty was the reserve champion in the walk-trot-canter equitation class.
Several other Cowgirls also qualified for the Zone 7 show, including Allysa Allen in the intermediate equitation on the flat class and Jennifer Baughman in walk-trot-canter equitation.
