Women's Equestrian Prepares For Zone Seven Show

STILLWATER, Okla. - Sixteen members of Oklahoma State's Cowgirl equestrian team will travel to Canyon, Texas this weekend to compete in the Zone Seven Show. The show, hosted by West Texas A&M, will begin at 8 a.m.
During the show, Oklahoma State's hunt seat team will compete head-to-head with Colorado State, the region one winner. Two riders from each school will compete in each class, and the winning team will advance to nationals, which will be held May 12-14 in Atlanta, Ga.
The Cowgirl western team will compete against region two runner-up Texas A&M as well as the top two teams from region one. The highest placing team that has not yet qualified for nationals by winning its region will advance to the national show.
The top three riders from region one will also compete against the top three riders from region two, and the top two riders in each class will advance to the national show.
