STILLWATER, Okla.-- Heavy rains and the expectation of more rain on Saturday have cancelled the OSU Cowgirl Classic softball tournament, scheduled for this weekend. The games will not be made up.

After a meeting of the teams coaches at 11 a.m. Friday, it was decided that the expense of staying another night outweighed any chance of playing on Saturday. Creighton, Southwest Missouri State and Wichita State will return home. Tulsa did not make the trip.

Oklahoma State, ranked 18th in the country and 23-9 overall, will host the NAIA second-ranked Oklahoma City Stars on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The game will be played at Little Couch Park in Stillwater.
