Cowgirls Travel To Utah For Red Desert Classic

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's 25th-ranked softball team will travel to St. George, Utah, this weekend to compete in the inaugural Red Desert Classic, hosted by the University of Utah. Eight of the nation's top teams, including four currently ranked in the top 40, will compete in the tournament.
Oklahoma State will open action on Friday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. CST against the Utah State Aggies. The Aggies are 2-3 this season, including an 11-3 victory over the Big 12's Kansas. The Cowgirls will then face top-ranked Washington (13-1) at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, OSU's first game will be at noon vs. 11th-ranked Stanford (11-1). At 2 p.m., the Cowgirls will face Southern Utah (0-7).
Oklahoma State will conclude the tournament on Sunday at noon, playing host-school Utah. The Utes are 6-4 this season, including a four-game winning streak.
The Cowgirls are 10-2 this season, and ranked 25th in the NFCA Coaches' Poll for the first time since the preseason poll of 1999.
