STILLWATER, Okla. -- The Oklahoma State women's tennis team will return to action Saturday when they take on the Texas Longhorns at 1 P.M. in Edmond.
The Cowgirls (1-0) are coming off a win against Texas-Arlington last weekend and will be looking to break Texas' 99-match conference winning streak.
"We came out a little rusty last weekend, but played pretty well against a tough opponent," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "Texas is as good as anyone we will face and we will have to come out ready to play."
Against UTA, the Cowgirls got straight-set wins from their top three singles players and won two out of three doubles matches.
The Longhorns (2-0) enter the contest atop the Big 12 standings after posting wins over Nebraska and Colorado and have not lost a conference match since a 5-4 setback at Texas Christian University on April 2, 1991.
