Softball Hosts Panhandle State

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's softball team, coming off a 4-2 record at the UTA/Isuzu Motors Invitational this past weekend, will host NCAA-Division II Panhandle State on Wednesday, Feb. 16. The doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m.
The Cowgirls are led at the plate by sophomore Paula Garman, who is currently batting .389, with six runs and seven RBIs in six games. She belted two home runs during the weekend tournament. Senior first-baseman Christina Shaddox is currently batting .357, with two home runs over the weekend as well.
On the mound, freshman LHP Lauren Bay is 2-1 with a 0.00 earned run average. She had 20 strikeouts in 17-1/3 innings pitched last weekend, and had two complete-game shutouts.
The games will be played at Little Couch Park, just south of the Stillwater High School football stadium in Stillwater.
After Wednesday's twinbill, the Cowgirls will travel to Springfield, Mo., to play four games vs. Southwest Missouri State and Drake.
