Softball Opens Season This Weekend

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's softball team will open the 2000 season this weekend as the Cowgirls travel to Grand Prairie, Texas, to compete in the UTA Intercollegiate Tournament. Games begin on Friday morning and conclude with the championship game on Sunday afternoon.

OSU opens the tournament with Auburn on Friday morning at 11:15 a.m. at Mike Lewis Park. At 3:45 p.m., the Cowgirls will face Louisiana Tech. The Cowgirls will finish pool play on Friday evening vs. the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners at 6 p.m.

Bracket play will begin on Saturday morning and continue through Sunday afternoon.

The Cowgirls finished their preseason scrimmages with a 6-0 record, including three wins over NAIA No. 2-ranked Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon.
