STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl equestrian team finished out its fall western season with a pair of third-place finishes at the Texas A&M show in College Station on Sunday.
In the first show, the Cowgirls scored 12 points to tie with West Texas A&M and finish 11 points behind Texas A&M and two points behind Kansas State. Five OSU riders, Allysa Allen, Amy Eastty, Amber Higgins, Emily Hoaglan and Luann Ulrich, earned first-place finishes in their respective classes. The Cowgirls' lone runner-up finish came from Erin Hale.
In the second show, OSU's 18 points were good enough for third place behind Texas A&M and Kansas State, who finished in a tie for the top spot with 23 points apiece. A pair of Cowgirls claimed individual titles. Hoaglan picked up her second of the day and was joined by Jenny Myles. Two Cowgirls, Chelsea Makloski and Amy Noble, snared runner-up finishes.
OSU will return to action February 3 when they travel to Baton Rouge, La., for the Louisiana State Hunt Seat Show.
