Cowgirls Defeat Eastern Michigan 65-45

NASSAU, Bahamas -- Oklahoma State advanced to the championship game of the Nassau Sunsplash Shootout after Wednesday's 65-45 victory over Eastern Michigan.
Leading just 45-40 with nine minutes to play, the Cowgirls went on a 16-2 run -- OSU bench players scored all 16 points -- to take a 61-42 lead with 4:45 remaining.
Kara Faulk paced the Cowgirls with 13 points and nine rebounds, Nikki Lawrence chipped in 10 points off the bench. The Cowgirls shot 41.0 percent from the field while limiting Eastern Michigan to 31.4-percent shooting, and OSU owned a 46-33 advantage in rebounds. Abby Wiseman paced Eastern Michigan with 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Cowgirls meet Alabama, a 66-56 winner over Creighton in the semifinals, in Thursday's championship game at 8 p.m. Central Time.
OSU improved to 6-3 while the Eagles dropped to 5-3.
