- Quarterback Aso Pogi's four rushing touchdowns were the most since
Barry Sanders scored five times on the ground against Kansas on Nov. 12,
1988. Sanders accomplished the feat twice in 1988, also scoring five against
Tulsa on Oct. 1. In addition, Terry Miller also ran for five TDs against
Kansas State on Nov. 13, 1976.
- Running back Reggie White's 78 yards rushing pushed him over the 1,000
yard plateau for the season with 1,005 yards. He is the first Oklahoma State
running back to achieve the mark since David Thompson rushed for 1,595 yards
in the 1996 season.
- Aso Pogi's 171 yards passing now gives him 1,448 for the season, 77
yards behind Mike Gundy's freshman best of 1,525 set in 1985.
- OSU's touchdown at the 14:39 mark of the first quarter was the quickest
score over the past two seasons and the quickest score in any OSU game since
Texas' Hodges Mitchell scored on the Longhorns first play from scrimmage at
the 14:42 mark on Nov. 6, 1999 in Stillwater.
- Mike Denard's 13-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was the
first score of his career.
- OSU recovered three fumbles in the first quarter and they were season
firsts for Chris Carter, Robbie Gillem and Kevin Williams. It was also
career firsts for Carter and Gillem, while it was the third of Williams
tenure.
- OSU's 50 points scored are the most since scoring 50 against Missouri
in double overtime on Oct. 25, 1997.
- OSU's 36 first half points were the most the team has scored in the
first stanza this season and most since notching 38 against Southwest
Missouri State on Sept. 11, 1993.
- Terrance Davis-Bryant's 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was
the first rushing score of his career.
- Tatum Bell's 11 carries and 41 yards rushing were both career highs.
- Jamaal Fobbs caught a pass for the 13th straight contest.
- Today's win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Cowboys and it was OSU's fifth straight win over Baylor. The 50-22 final score was the largest margin of victory against BU since 1914 (OSU 60, Baylor 0).
