Cowgirls Conclude Play At UNLV Invitational

LAS VEGAS- -- Oklahoma State's women's tennis squad posted four singles wins Sunday afternoon on the final day of the UNLV Invitational in Las Vegas.
Dominika Olszewska downed Minnesota's Michael Havelkova in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 to finish third in the event's top flight.
UNLV's Marianne Bakken claimed a win by default over sophomore Linda Faltynkova in the second flight's third-place match. OSU's Katarzyna Kolodynska breezed past the Rebels' Britta Gabl 6-0, 6-1 in the consolation finals.
In the third flight, Ashleigh Dolman also notched a straight-set victory over UNLV's Amy Hadziosmanovic 6-1, 6-4 to finish third. In the consolation final, senior Cameron Stoudt defeated Urska Radanovic of UNLV 6-4, 6-1.
In doubles play on Saturday, the Cowgirl's Erin Pauchnik and Olszewska picked up a pair of round-robin wins in the third flight to finish the tournament at 2-1. Faltynkova and Kolodynska zipped to an 8-4 decision over Minnesota's Brandi Watts and Amy Thomas in the second flight's consolation final.
OSU will be in action again Oct. 13-15 at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa.
