Men's Basketball (13-1, 2-0 Big 12)

Two top 25 basketball teams clash Wednesday night when Oklahoma State hosts the Texas Longhorns in a key Big 12 matchup inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Oklahoma State and Texas are two of four Big 12 teams that remain unbeaten in conference play.
The Longhorns are ranked 14th, and are coming off a 79-66 triumph over Oklahoma on Saturday.
The Cowboys topped Baylor 56-41 on Saturday to improve to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in Big 12 action. Senior point guard Doug Gottlieb led OSU's scoring charge with 13 points, and he also dished out seven assists.

The Cowgirl basketball squad will try to rebound from its first conference loss of the season when it hosts eighth-ranked Iowa State Tuesday evening at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls scored their most impressive victory of the season on Wednesday when they knocked off Texas, 71-69. The Lady Raiders of Texas Tech, however, handed the Cowgirls their first conference loss of the season on Saturday when they routed the Cowgirls 76-51.
The Cowgirls played both games without the services of starters Tari Cummings, who is out for six weeks following knee surgery, and Kara Faulk, who is out for two weeks with a hip injury.

The Oklahoma State thinclads will continue their season on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Missouri Southern Invitational I in Joplin, Mo.
Four members of Oklahoma State's men's track team had the top four finishes in the mile run at the Wildcat Invitational Friday.
Chuck Sloan began his senior track season with a win in his only event. He finished the mile run in 4:14.62, outpacing fellow Cowboy Jason Woolhouse's time of 4:20.07.
It was a close race for third in the mile as Ben Lake finished in 4:25.71 and Junior Vasquez crossed the line just after him in 4:25.78. Ben Tickner took the sixth spot with a time of 4:28.01.
Bruce Wright won the 3,000-meter race with a time of 8:41.85 He finished well ahead of McKendree's Mike Farrell, who crossed the line in 8:44.48. Cowboys Trey Vernon and Tickner finished third and fourth with times of 8:59.41 and 9:05.50, respectively. Jon Cordes finished the run in 9:16.44, good enough for sixth place.
Woolhouse, a newcomer to this year's team, also finished second in the 800m run with a time of 2:00.00. Mike Cliff finished right behind him in third in 2:00.50. The OSU duo was just off the 1:59.60 pace set by Emporia State's Justin Stigge.
OSU finished fifth in the team scoring and lost in the dual against host Kansas State, 97-31.
Women's Indoor Track and Field

The Cowgirl track team will next travel to Norman, Okla., for the Jan. 23 OU Invitational.
The Oklahoma State women's track team competed in its first meet for the indoor season Saturday at the Kansas State Invitational. The Cowgirls brought home a fifth-place finish.
Melinda Jackson dominated the long jump competition, finishing first with a 19'05.50 jump. McKendree State's Neisha Thompson placed second in the event, but couldn't touch Jackson with her 18'07.75 jump.
Natasha Santee recorded a third-place finish in the 60 meter dash, recording a time of 7.70. Cameko Tyner wasn't far behind Santee, finishing in 7.89. Santee also gained points for the team as she finished fourth in the 200 meter dash in 25.38.
Angella Ogle led the Cowgirls in the high jump event. She placed fourth with a 5'02.50 jump.
Wrestling (5-1-1 Overall, 1-0-1 Big 12)
This Week: Sat.-Sun. at National Duals at University Park, Pa.
Last Week: Friday won at home vs. Arizona State, 39-0
Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked wrestling team improved to 5-1-1 on the season with a 39-0 blanking of 16th-ranked Arizona State.
Ty Wilcox ranked seventh nationally, led the way with an upset of second-ranked Steve Blackford. Daniel Cormier came out of redshirt and excited the Gallagher-Iba crowd by pinning ASU's Curtis Owen.
OSU will now travel to University Park, Pa. for the 2000 National Duals. The Cowboys will be defending their 1999 National Duals championship over the two-day event. Semifinals are set for 8 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 22 and finals at 2 p.m. on Jan., 23. Four of the top five teams in the nation will be vying for the 2000 Duals title. Big 12 foes No. 2 Iowa State and No. 5 Oklahoma will also participating.
