Cross Country Breaks Into Top 25

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's cross country team broke into the national top 25 this week with a No. 23 ranking.
The Cowboys won the Wichita Gold Classic for the sixth straight time on Sept. 5 to enter the Mondo's NCAA Men's Cross Country Poll. The poll is conducted by the U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association.
No. 3 Colorado is the only Big 12 school ranked ahead of the Cowboys. Missouri is listed in the others receiving votes category as the No 26 team.
The Cowboys will participate in the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday in Bronx, N.Y. They will then come home to host the Cowboy Jamboree on Oct. 2.
OSU's women's team also is receiving votes in the FinishLynx Women's Cross Country Preseason poll. By extending the poll, the Cowgirls are ranked 32nd in the nation.
