STILLWATER, Okla. ? Oklahoma State?s Cowgirl softball team will play the Oklahoma Sooners in a 100-inning game Wednesday afternoon at the Don E. Porter/Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
Money raised by the team will go towards stadium improvements at the new Cowgirl Softball Complex, scheduled to be opened next spring. The players and coaches received sponsorships per inning.
The game will use a pitching machine, and each batter will get one pitch. The teams will play nine outs at a time, speeding up the process. At around 7 p.m., the two teams will take a break for dinner.
Oklahoma State opens the fall season this weekend with two games in the SMSU Tournament in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday.
