Senior Associate Athletic Director Receives Award

Senior Associate Athletic Director Dave Martin recently received an award honoring the top athletic administrators in the country.
Martin received the Senior Associate Athletic Director Award in a ceremony sponsored by the All-American Football Foundation held on July 15.
Martin's award was presented at the 18th Annual Banquet of Champions.
Entering his 17th year at Oklahoma State, Martin has overseen almost every aspect of the OSU Athletic Department. He has assisted over the years in managing the daily operations of marketing, public relations, fiscal management, fundraising, media relations, and special events.
Martin has also overseen all head coaches while coordinating contracts and scheduling events during his time at OSU. He served as an interim coach for tennis in 1989 and for wrestling in 1992, guiding both teams to Big Eight titles.
From July of 1993 through August of 1995, Martin served as OSUs interim Athletic Director, and recently completed a stint as the interim commissioner of the Big 12 Conference from April 1998 to January 1999.
Martin was an NCAA individual wrestling champion in 1970 and was runner-up in 1969 while competing at Iowa State. He earned his bachelors degree at Iowa State in speech, radio, and telecommunicative arts in 1970.
Martin currently serves on the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Board of Governors and the NCAA Wrestling Rules Committee.
