Women's Basketball Will Be Televised Twice This Season

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl basketball schedule features two televised games and a game vs. Long Beach State at the Myriad, it was announced today, as the schedule was released by the Athletic Department.
The Cowgirls will host their first exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. vs. an international team scheduled through Basketball Travelers. OSU will open the regular season vs. Northern Iowa on Monday, Nov. 15, in the first round of the preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament.
Oklahoma State will play in two other non-conference tournaments. On Nov. 28-29, the Cowgirls will play in the Bertha Teague Memorial Classic in Norman, Okla., and on Dec. 18-19, OSU will play in the Seattle Times Classic in Seattle, Wash. Other non-conference road games are trips to Wichita State on Dec. 5 and to West Virginia on Dec. 31.
The Cowgirls have four other home non-conference games, starting with Lamar on Nov. 19. Southwest Missouri State comes to town on Dec. 2, featuring the nation's leading scorer from a year ago. OSU will host LBSU in the Myriad on Dec. 12, and will end the non-conference portion of its schedule on Jan. 3 with a contest against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Oklahoma State will open the conference season on Jan. 8 at Texas A&M. The Big 12 schedule includes home contests vs. Texas, Iowa State and Texas Tech, all top-25 teams a year ago. Also on the home slate are Baylor, Missouri, Kansas State, Texas A&M and bedlam-rival Oklahoma. That game, as well as the Jan. 29 contest vs. Colorado, will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
