Oklahoma State won the first two games in a three-game series against Nebraska, but the third game was canceled due to rain.
Cowboy freshman Matt Smith, pitched his first career one hitter during the April 24 game (the first game of the series). The Pokes defeated Nebraska 12-0 in seven innings. This was the first one hitter in seven years for OSU, and also OSU's fifth shut out of the season.
In the second game against Nebraska, OSU pulled out with a 13-11 win. After Nebraska took the lead 9-7 in the fifth inning, OSU came back by scoring five runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
The Pokes were ahead 4-0, when the third game of the series was canceled in the fourth inning due to rain.

Men's Golf - Will Hancock
April 27-28 at the Big 12 Championship
The sixth-ranked Oklahoma State men's golf team will try to remain the only team to win a Big 12 title when it competes in this week's conference championship. OSU has won 46 titles in its 51-year men's golf history and has boasted 40 medalists, including last year's champion, Leif Westerberg.
This year, freshman Charles Howell leads the Big 12 in stroke average (72.23), and his teammate, sophomore Edward Loar, is ranked 10th nationally. Two other Cowboys - senior Bo Van Pelt (33rd) and sophomore Landry Mahan (84th) - join Loar and 21st-ranked Howell among the nation's top 100 individuals.

Softball - Michael Noteware
May 1-3 at the Big 12 Tournament
Oklahoma State's 12th-ranked softball team will play the No. 17-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders in first round action at the Big 12 Tournament this Friday at ASA/Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. The Cowgirls ended the regular season with a 35-15 record overall and 9-7 in Big 12 Conference action. OSU is the fifth-seed in the tournament.
Should OSU win its first game, the Cowgirls will play at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Should they lose, they will play at 3 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament. The tournament will run through Sunday, with the championship game at 2 p.m.

Men's Tennis - Blythe McCarty
May 15-17 NCAA Regional at Tulsa, Okla.
May 23-31 NCAA Championship at Athens, Ga.
Oklahoma State's Cowboy tennis team lost to Kansas 1-4 in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament in Lincoln, Neb. on Friday. Oklahoma State (16-5, 8-3 Big 12) won only one singles match as top-ranked Pavel Kudrnac defeated Enrique Abaroa 6-3, 6-1.
The Cowboys will travel to Tulsa May 15-17 for the NCA Regionals, and the NCAA Championships will be held in Athens, Ga. May 23-31.

Women's Tennis - Casey Shedd
The Cowgirls season ended with a loss to Kansas State in the first round of the Big 12 Championships at Lincoln, Neb. The Cowgirls finished the season 4-19 overall and 2-10 in Big 12.

Track and Field - Scott Dactelides
May 2 University of Texas-Arlington
May 8 Cardinal Invitational at Stanford, Calif.
The Cowgirls returned from the Oklahoma Outdoor meet with a new Cowgirl school record of 10-6 in the Pole Vault by freshman Megan Robbins. Robbins missed national qualification by 20 cm.
The Cowboys returned from the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. with an automatic and provisional national qualifier in sophomore Chuck Sloan and junior Rene Carlsen. Sloan qualified in the steeplechase event with a personal best time of 8:42.04. Carlsen qualified in the 10,000m run with a personal best of 29:27.41.
