stolen-base attempts, or 31.1 percent. Conversely, OSU base runners have
been successful on 34-of-46 attempts, or 73.9 percent. Senior Michelle
Singer leads the pack, throwing out 7-of-23 base stealers.
EUR Cowgirl junior Jennifer Olival is batting .516 since conference play

just
six by the opponents.

in
scoring position, hitting at a .435 average.

just
.345 when the bases are empty.

.362
when leading off an inning.

FOUTCH OWNING RECORD BOOKS
Cowgirl senior Jaime Foutch owns all but a few of the all-time OSU
offensive
records. She owns or is tied for four single-game records, six
single-season
records, and 10 career records. She set the school mark for games played
when she played against Oklahoma, the 218th time she has stepped onto
the
field in a Cowgirl uniform. She also tied the record for bases on balls,
tying Stephenie Little for that career mark. By the time she leaves OSU,
she
will hold at least 20 offensive records.
HITTING STREAKS
Jaime Foutch holds the longest hitting streak of the season at 12 games,
and
she also holds the longest current streak at six games. Here is a look

TWO COWGIRLS HONORED
Oklahoma State's Melissa Turley and Kristine Garcia were both honored by
the
Big 12 Conference with the NationsBank Community Champion Award this
season.
Turley was featured on the Big 12 Showcase three weeks ago, while Garcia
will be honored on the same program in the future. Both were nominated
by
Oklahoma State's Athletic Department for their dedication to the
Stillwater
community and to several charitable organizations. OSU's only other
honoree
was Cowboy tailback Jamaal Fobbs, who received the accolade during the
fall
semester.
SERIES VS. WSU
The Oklahoma State-Wichita State softball series might be one of the
most
lopsided in the country. OSU leads the all-time series, 55-1, including
54
consecutive since 1979. The only Shocker win was a 9-2 victory over the
Cowgirls in 1978 at the Sooner Invitational in Norman. Since that game,
Oklahoma State has posted 33 shutouts vs. WSU. The Cowgirls are 18-0
all-time vs. Wichita State, including a 6-1 win last season in the
Cowgirl
Spring Classic, in Stillwater. The three four-year seniors on the OSU
squad
have played the Shockers only once at home in their careers, and have a
7-0
record vs. WSU in Wichita. The only two recorded extra-inning games
between
these two teams have happened in the last two years. A complete list of
the
series follows.
