Oklahoma State looks to start a new winning streak when the 23rd-ranked
Cowboys start a three-game homestand this week. OSU takes a break from Big
12 play when the Cowboys host Southern Mississippi in a 7:05 p.m. tipoff
Wednesday. Conference foe Texas A&M comes calling Saturday, when the
Cowboys and Aggies square off at 3 p.m.
OSU lost a heartbreaker at Texas on Saturday; the Longhorns rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit to defeat the Cowboys 73-70 despite Desmond Mason's 24-point performance. His strong game, which included a 20-point first half, gave Mason the OSU and Big 12 scoring lead, passing teammate Adrian Peterson despite Peterson's 19-point night.
The Cowboys defeated Baylor 75-47 on Saturday. Alex Webber scored 14 points, a career high in conference games, and pulled down seven rebounds in the contest.

Hanna Smedstad won the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:45.48. Freshman Andrea Holloway won her second title during the indoor season in the shot put with a throw of 45-5.75. Megan Robbins won the pole vault for the first time this season with a jump of 11-1.
The Cowgirls will travel to Norman, Okla., on Saturday for the Oklahoma Invitational.
Women's Basketball (11-6, 3-4 Big 12)

Won on the road vs. Texas A&M, 70-69
This Week: Thursday vs. Colorado, 7 p.m.
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team hosts Colorado on Thursday at 7
p.m. in an important game for both teams. Both squads will enter the
contest with 3-4 conference records; the winner will get to .500 in league
play, while the loser will have a tough road ahead in the Big 12 standings.
OSU gained a measure of revenge Saturday when the Cowgirls hung on for a one-point victory at Texas A&M, which had beaten OSU in Stillwater earlier in the year. Jennifer Crow hit the game-winning free throw in the closing moments, and the Aggies missed a chance at the game-winner seconds later. OSU had led by as many as 15 points before Texas A&M made its run.
The victory also kept the Cowgirls in the hunt for postseason play after they had lost 75-53 at Texas on Wednesday.

The Cowboy grapplers extended their winning streak to 62 straight duals and
improved to 15-0 on the season with victories over Iowa State, North
Carolina State and North Carolina.
Heavyweight Dave Anderton highlighted Oklahoma State's 24-14 victory over the Cyclones by pinning his opponent, Mark Knauer. Charles Walker and Mark Smith each came through with major-decision victories.
The Cowboys were never challenged in a 40-0 shutout victory over North Carolina State Sunday afternoon. Anderton again pinned his opponent, and Eric Guerrero and Shawn Smith each won by technical fall in the runaway victory.
Oklahoma State then cruised to a 31-10 victory over North Carolina Sunday evening while winning eight of 10 matches. Anderton pinned his opponent for the third time in as many matches, and Mark Smith won by major decision.
The Cowboys will take part in another wrestling doubleheader Saturday, when they host Oregon and 11 a.m. and Oregon State at 7:30 p.m.
