Oklahoma State Quotes
OSU Associate Head Coach Margaret Rebenar
(On winning the game)
"We're pretty excited. I think we got off to kind of a slow start. I give
their pitcher (Nora Cagwin) a lot of credit. She's very talented. I felt
she might keep us somewhat off balance, and I think that turned out to be
true. But we had some key hits, and they gave us a little bit in terms of
key errors. They have a great ballclub. We're excited to be in the position
we are in right now."
OSU Designated Player Michelle Singer
(On what the team has changed in the regional)
"We're a very strong team in all aspects - our pitching, our defense and
our hitting. It's just when we put it all together. On any given day, one
thing might not be there. But we're putting it together when it counts
right now."
Pitcher Leanne Tyler
(On getting tired during the game)
"I actually felt stronger toward the end. I was real shaky and nervous in
the beginning. (I was) kind of frustrated. I didn't feel like I had a lot
of speed today. But I was mixing the speeds that I had."

Southwest Missouri State Quotes
SMS Coach Holly Hesse
(On the game)
"I thought OSU played a great ballgame. I thought they had excellent
pitching; they did a nice job at the plate. Probably the turning point of
the season was the leadoff of the sixth inning. It was a close call at
first base, and I thought it could go either way, and it didn't go our way.
We needed to respond with excellent defense after that, but instead we went
out and made three errors on defense."
SMS Right Fielder Heather Anderson
(On Tyler striking out 10 Bears)
"I just don't think we were being aggressive. I don't know what it was.
There was no momentum. I can't really explain it. That's not the way we
hit. We barely have any strikeouts. But we looked at a lot of third
strikes."
Southwest Missouri State Notes
