Oklahoma State went 4-0 last week to up its record to 29-10 overall and 11-7 in Big 12 play. The Cowboys have gone 17-3 since March 19 and are averaging over 11 runs a contest.
Second baseman Kevin Lucas was the offensive star for the Cowboys last week, batting .500 with two homers in four games. Lucas was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases and flawless in the field with no errors in 20 chances. OSU will play eight games in a span of seven days starting with a two-game series against North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C. The Pokes will head back home for a six-game homestand with contests scheduled against BYU and Western Illinois next weekend.

Fifth-ranked Oklahoma Sate recovered from a poor start to finish ninth after Sunday's final round of the ASU Thunderbird/Savane Invitational. After a first-round score of 301, which tied for the worst round by any of the 17 teams in the tournament, OSU returned to its usual ways, carding under-par team scores in the second and third rounds to move up eight spots in the standings.
OSU's next competition is the Big 12 Championship on April 26-27 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Cowboys are the only team to have won the league tournament in its two years of existence.
Women's Golf

The seventh-ranked Cowgirls are playing in the Big 12 Golf Championships in Boulder, Colo. They are the favorites in the tournament after winning the Big 12 fall preview. The Cowgirls have won three tournaments this spring. Last season the Cowgirls finished third in the conference tournament, five strokes behind Texas A&M.

Oklahoma State's Cowgirl softball team will travel to Norman, Okla., on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. game versus the Sooners. The Cowgirls will host the Utah Utes in non-conference action on Friday at 6:30 p.m., and host Baylor on Saturday and Texas Tech on Sunday with both doubleheaders starting at noon. OSU hosts the last eight games of the regular season.
Last weekend the Cowgirls lost three of four games to ranked opponents, defeating 19th-ranked Texas A&M 4-2 in 10 innings. All three losses came in the final at-bat.
Men's Tennis (6-10, 1-6 Big 12)

Oklahoma State's Cowboy tennis squad lost on the road to the Colorado Buffaloes this weekend. The Cowboys fall to 6-10 on the season and 1-6 in Big 12 play. Rob Howarth claimed Oklahoma State's only victory of the match. The Cowboys will host Wichita State at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and on Wednesday, the Cowboys travel to Norman, Okla., to take on the Sooners at 2 p.m. Saturday the Cowboys play host to Kansas at 2 p.m. at the DuBois Tennis Complex.
Women's Tennis (13-5, 5-3 Big 12)

Led by Marketa Chmelova, the Oklahoma State Cowgirl tennis team defeated Texas Tech 7-2 Friday afternoon at the DuBois Tennis Complex. Chmelova did not lose a game in either singles or doubles as she defeated Chislaine Hernandez 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 singles. Chmelova teamed up with Dominika Olsewska at No. 2 doubles to defeat Amanda Earhart and Misty Myer 8-0.
Maria Galoustova, Martina Hautova and Ashleigh Dolman also added singles wins for the Cowgirls (13-5, 5-3 Big 12). Oklahoma State also won every doubles match, as Galoustova and Dolman defeated Alenka Ovin and Zana Zlebnik 8-5. Hautova and Humenikova also defeated Ruiz and Hernandez 8-2. The Cowgirls then fell to Kansas 7-2 on Saturday. Martina Hautova, and the doubles tandem of Hautova and Lenka Humenikova claimed Oklahoma State's only victories of the match.
The Cowgirls' next action will be Wednesday, when they host the Bedlam match at 1:30 p.m., and Sunday, when they host Colorado at the Dubois Tennis Complex.
Men's Track and Field
This Week: Thurs.-Sat. at Penn Relays
Last Week: Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
Gitogo Churu captured the top finish in the 3,000 meter run at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday.
Churu finished the race in 8:13.83, two full seconds ahead of Wisconsin's Jason Vanderhoof's 8:16.29. Nathaniel Lane finished the race third in 8:19.22, while Ren Carlsen came in sixth in 8:22.75. The 3,000m race is not an NCAA men's event.
Chuck Sloan came within a second of provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 1,500m run. He finished seventh in the race with a time of 3:45.81. A 3:45.00 mark is needed to provisionally qualify for the championships.
Andrew Hennessy finished the 1,500m race not too far behind Sloan with a time of 3:46.32, good enough for 10th place.
In Friday's preliminary rounds, Ben Phillips and Brian Young won their sections in their respective events. Phillips set a new personal record with a time of 1:53.22 in the 800m. Young recorded the best time of the day in the 1,500m with a time of 3:50.29.
The Cowboys next head to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia for a Friday through Monday meet.

Oklahoma State's women's track team wrapped up an exciting weekend with the Tyson Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relay on Saturday and Sunday.
Nancy Guillen brought home an individual title at the Mt. SAC Relays in the hammer throw. Her mark of 201 feet, three inches broke the school record that she set last week and gave her the third-best throw in the country. Three other Cowgirls provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the Mt. SAC Relays. Andrene Thompson finished seventh in the invitational division of the 800m with a time of 2:06.90. Alexandra Lindquist qualified in the 1,500m, running 4:23.31 and finishing seventh in the invitational division. Hanna Smedstad rounded out the trio, finishing 13th in the 5,000m with a time of 16:20.13.
OSU competed in the finals of the Tyson Invitational on Saturday. Sherita Jackson won the 200m dash in a time of 23.89 seconds and finished third in the 100m dash. The Cowgirl 4x100m relay team turned in a fourth-place finish with a time of 46.64.
The Cowgirls will travel to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 22-24.
