AMES, Iowa - Oklahoma States womens tennis team notched their fourth conference victory Sunday with a 8-1 decision over Iowa State at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center Courts.
Oklahoma State dominated singles action winning all six matches. Cowgirl sophomore Maria Galoustova was challenged early in her No. 1 singles match against Cyclone freshman Noortje Cornelissen, 7-6(3), 6-0. Cowgirl freshman; Ashleigh Dolman battled back from a first set loss to win at No. 5 against Mary Rumboa 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Oklahoma State won two of three doubles matches. lowa States lone point came at No. 1 when the duo of Galoustova and Dolman lost to Cornelissen and Karin Westberg, 8-5.
The Cowgirls (12-5, 4-3 Big 12) return to action next weekend, when they host Big 12 foes Texas Tech and Kansas. Saturdays match with Texas Tech is set for 1 p.m. and Sundays match with Kansas is set for noon.
