STILLWATER, Okla. - Clay Billman and Larry Reece have joined the Oklahoma State athletics development staff, Dean Lee, assistant athletics director for development, has announced.
Billman will join the staff as coordinator, athletic publications, while Reece has been named manager of corporate relations. Both men are familiar faces around the OSU athletics offices.
Billman, currently communications specialist with the University, has produced and written several publications for the OSU athletics development and marketing offices, including the fund-raising literature for the department's current facilities campaign. In addition, he has developed concepts and copy for OSU recruiting materials and image advertising, including helping create and update OSU's interactive CD-ROM viewbook.
Reece is well known to OSU fans as the public address voice of OSU football and basketball games, a position he has held since 1990. As general manager of KSPI AM & FM Radio in Stillwater since August 1996, Reece was responsible for total operations of the stations, and he coordinated efforts for the Oklahoma State University Cowboy Baseball Radio Network, including attracting affiliates and setting format. He also handled on-air duties for many Cowboy baseball games.
"We're very excited to have Clay and Larry officially on board with the department," said Lee. "They've both had such important relationships with OSU Athletics through the years that it will be a natural, easy transition for them to join the program on a full-time basis."
Reece's duties with the development office begin Monday; Billman's first day in his new position will be May 11.
