Guillen Exits Early, Finishes 16th

BOISE, Idaho - Oklahoma State's Nancy Guillen missed the finals of a hammer competition for the first time this season and finished 16th at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships here today.
Guillen who had not finished lower than third-place all season, produced a throw of 55.12 meters that was good enough for 16th-place.
Before today's competition her previous best throw was 61.34 at the Mt. SAC Relays, which was the sixth-best throw in the country.
Fellow Big 12 athletes Renetta Seiler and Anna Whitham of Kansas State finished third and fifth, respectively. While Nebraska's Melissa Price and Erin Wibbels missed the finals along with Guillen.
Florence Ezeh of Southern Methodist won with a throw of 63.14m.
OSU's final competitor, Hanna Smedstad will run at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday in the 5,000m.
