Cowgirls Win Bedlam Showdown

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team defeated Oklahoma today 5-4 at the DuBois Center.
The Cowgirls came out fired up winning three of six singles matches. Freshman Dominika Olszewska led the Cowgirl's charge defeating Oklahoma's Viviana Mracnova in three-sets 3-6, 7-5, 7-5. Senior Martina Hautova won her last home singles match in straight sets over the Sooners Danielle Knipp 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles, OSU continued it's determined style of play winning two of three. Cowgirl's sophomore Maria Galoustova and freshman Ashleigh Dolman battled tough at No. 1 to beat Raluca Gheorghe and Knipp, 9-7.
"I am very pleased with our level of play," said head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski. "They were ahead of us in the (big 12) standings, so this really helps our confidence heading into the Big 12 Championships.
The Cowgirls (14-6, 6-4 Big 12) will finish the regular season against Colorado (18-5, 7-2 Big 12) in Boulder, Sunday at noon.
