Cowgirls Tennis Fall in Semifinals of Big 12's

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team lost in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships Saturday to Oklahoma 5-3 at the Varsity Tennis Center.
The Cowgirls continued to struggle in singles play, dropping four-of-six matches to the Sooners. Junior Marketa Chmelova remained tough at No. 4 defeating Jennie Hamilton in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Freshman Dominkia Olszewska battled at No. 2 defeating Viviana Mracnova 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles play, the duo of Lenka Humenikova and Martina Hautova won their eighth straight defeating Oklahoma's Angela Stroup and Jennie Hamilton, 8-3.
"I am very proud of our girls," said Julius Lubicz-Majewski. "We made it a lot further than anyone thought we could. We have a young team and I look forward to next season."
