Cowgirls Challenge Sooners to 100 Innings of Softball

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl softball team will challenge the Oklahoma Sooners to 100 innings of softball Wednesday afternoon at the Don E. Porter/Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. The game begins at 4:30 p.m.
The game is used as a sponsorship drive to raise money for the Cowgirls' for the upcoming season. Money is used for equipment, team travel and other expenses. Sponsors donate how ever much money they want per inning.
The game will be played in the following manner. Each inning will consist of three outs. However, each batter will receive just one pitch per plate appearance from a pitching machine. The teams will take a break after 50 innings for dinner, then resume.
Oklahoma State will return to fall action this Sunday as the Cowgirls host the second and final Cowgirl Mini-Tournament at Cowgirl Field. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m.
