- The Cowboys scored their second straight rout in Oklahoma City games,
last year, the Cowboys held Arkansas-Little Rock to 13 first-half points en
route to an 88-41 victory.
- Doug Gottlieb recorded his sixth double-digit assist total in this
season's seven games. Gottlieb's 14 assists today tie for the eighth-best
single-game mark in OSU history, six of the top nine single-game assist
totals in school history have been recorded by Gottlieb.
- The Cowboys improved to 3-0 in orange uniforms, which are making their
Eddie Sutton-era debut this season. The Cowboys also wore orange against
Idaho and Wichita State.
- OSU's 7-0 start this season ties for the eighth-best mark in school
history. The Cowboys started the 1997-98 campaign 11-0, the best since a
school-record 20-0 start in 1991-92.
- Desmond Mason tallied 20 points for the third time this season and for
the fifth time in nine games dating to last season.
- Joe Adkins scored in double figures for the first time since Nov. 20.
He had gone one for 13 from three-point range in the previous four games,
and six for 31 overall, before hitting all four of his three-pointers today
and finishing five for nine overall. Adkins also set a season high with four
steals.
- For the second straight game, the Cowboys set season highs for three-pointers made and three-point percentage. OSU hit 30.6 percent of its three-point attempts and averaged just 5.0 treys per contest in the first five games of the year before going 19 for 41 (46.3 percent) in the past two contests.
