Women's Tennis Set To Compete At Rolex Regional Championships

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Cowgirl netter Ashleigh Dolman won two qualifying matches on Wednesday to advance to the main draw of the Rolex Regional Championships being hosted by the University of Utah.
Dolman defeated Julie Weiss of Air Force in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of qualifying. She then went on to beat New Mexico's Caroline Pollack 6-0, 6-2 to advance to tomorrow's action.
With Dolman's victories, the Cowgirls will have five players in the main draw when play begins on Thursday.
In addition to the sophomore from England, Marketa Chmelova, Dominika Olszewska, Maria Galoustova and Linda Faltynkova will all be in action on Thursday. Olszewska, the 14 seed, is the only seeded Cowgirl heading into the main draw.
In doubles play, Dolman and Galoustova received the 5 seed, while Chmelova and Faltynkova will begin play as the 11 seed.
