Women's Golf Inks Former Stillwater Standout

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team got its first signee of the fall period last week as Stephanie Quinn, a senior out of Greenbriar High School in Evans, Ga., signed a national letter of intent with the Cowgirls.
Quinn, who spent her freshman and sophomore years at Stillwater High School, finished sixth in the state of Oklahoma her sophomore year. After moving to Evans, a suburb of Augusta, Ga., she won the Class 3A state championship her junior season.
"I chose Oklahoma State, first off, because its close to where I grew up," said Quinn. "Secondly, the coaching staff is really good, and the practice facilities are wonderful."
As an amateur, Quinn won the Southeastern Junior Tournament and the Hampton Club Juniors. She tied for second at the End of Year Tournament of Champions back in September.
"Stephanie is a natural lefthander, and being from Stillwater, we really wanted her to come back and play for OSU," said OSU Assistant Amy Weeks. "We were very impressed with her tempo and the way she presented herself on the golf course. She's very consistent off the tee."
