STILLWATER, Okla. - No. 4 Nebraska scored seven first-half goals en route to a 10-0 shutout victory over Oklahoma State in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at the OSU Soccer Complex.
Meghan Anderson and Kelly Rheem both scored two goals for the Cornhuskers, who outshot the Cowgirls 45-2 and moved to 4-0 all-time against OSU.
Lindsay Eddleman, Isabelle Morneau, Christine Latham, Kori Saunders, Becky Preston and Brooke Jones also scored goals for Nebraska, handing Oklahoma State its worst goal margin defeat in the four-year history of the program.
Goalkeepers Karina LeBlanc and Leah Lamale combined for the team's tenth shutout this season and did not face a shot on goal the entire game.
The win improves Nebraska's record to 16-1-1 on the season and 9-0-0 in Big 12 play while Oklahoma State fell to 4-14 overall and finished the year 2-8 in conference action.
The Cowgirls will close out the 1999 season Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. when they travel to Ft. Worth, Texas, to take on TCU.
