Cowgirls Off To Good Start

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Oklahoma State women's tennis team had a successful first day at the University of Texas-Arlington Invitational on Friday.
The Cowgirls opened play by taking five out of six matches from North Texas. Dominika Olszewska, Maria Galoustova Ashleigh Dolman and Erin Pauchnik all posted straight set decisions. Marketa Chmelova notched a three set win over the Eagles' Catherina Alain.
Against Texas Christian, the Cowgirls were led by Pauchnik and Galoustova. Both claimed straight set wins, led by Pauchnik's impressive 6-0, 6-1 defeat of the Horned Frogs' Debbie Bell.
The Cowgirls took two out of three in doubles action, winning both of their matches against Lamar University. The tandem of Olszewska and Chmelova zipped to an 8-1 decision, while Galoustova and Dolman won captured an 8-4 decision.
The Cowgirls will resume action Saturday morning with singles play beginning at 9 a.m. and doubles at 12:30 p.m.
