The Oklahoma State Cowgirl equestrian team will travel to College Station, Texas, this weekend to compete in three western shows.

The show consisted of two-hunt seat shows and points from both shows were added together to determine overall placings. The Cowgirls' team score of 52 points was good enough for a first-place overall finish.
Sophomore Audrey Buck won overall high-point honors for the show, as well as winning her division. Freshmen Jackie Skibicki, Kim Cloud and Amber Higgins also received first place in their divisions. Trista Armstrong and Susie Reed also received division top honors.
The Cowgirls will return home Oct. 29-31 as they host two hunt seat and two western shows at the Oklahoma State Animal Science Arena.
Football (3-2 Overall, 1-1 Big 12)
This Week: Saturday vs. Kansas State, 11:30 a.m. (Big 12 TV)
Last Week: idle
Oklahoma State hosts Kansas State Saturday as the Cowboys celebrate Homecoming and try to stay in the thick of the Big 12 Conference's South Division title chase. The Cowboys will be trying for a second-straight win this season and also be seeking to snap a seven-game losing streak to Kansas State.
Oklahoma State is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 Conference play ahead of this week's game against Kansas State. The Cowboys won their first two of the '99 season before losing to Mississippi State and Nebraska, both on the road. OSU rebounded last week for a 41-21 win over Texas Tech on Lewis Field. Kansas State will come to Stillwater with a perfect 6-0 overall record and a 3-0 mark in league play. The Wildcats stepped out of league play last week with a 40-0 win over Utah State in Manhattan.
Oklahoma State will celebrate its last Homecoming of the millennium this week, capped with Saturday's football game against the Wildcats. OSU's Homecoming is annually one of the largest in the nation, attracting thousands to Friday night's walkaround and campus-wide activities Friday and Saturday.
A capacity crowd is expected for Saturday's game between Oklahoma State and Kansas State. With the seats that were in the east end zone now gone because of construction, the official Lewis Field capacity is 48,500. As of last Friday, only a few hundred donor-level tickets remained for the game.
For the third time in six games, Oklahoma State will kick off a football game at about the time you should be finishing your Belgian waffle. The Cowboys are appearing on the Big 12 Syndicated Game of the Week for the third time (Tulsa, Nebraska and Kansas State). Today is the fourth televised game of the season for OSU.
Men's Golf

Last Week: at Red River Classic in Dallas 1st/15

OSU carded a 22-under-par round of 266 on the final day of last week's Red River Classic to win the event with a school-record score of 813, an astounding 51 strokes under par. All 12 individual scoring rounds for OSU were under 70, helping the Cowboys set school records for final and single-round scores. The 51-under overall final score is also believed to be a school record.
Senior Edward Loar, who won the Jerry Pate as a freshman in leading OSU to a 1996 victory in the event, leads the Cowboys' lineup into the tournament. The 10th-ranked Loar will be joined by third-ranked teammate Charles Howell as well as J.C. DeLeon, Anders Hultman and Landry Mahan. Howell finished fourth at the Red River while DeLeon, a true freshman, and Loar tied for fifth.
The tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday at Old Overton Country Club. The field in this annual tournament, whose selection committee has included Arnold Palmer and Ben Crenshaw as well as Jerry Pate, is considered one of the strongest in regular-season play.
