2021-22: Took third place at the Norseman Open, which was the only event he competed in … Went 5-1 at the tournament with his first two wins coming by fall.
2020-21: Went 1-3 for the Cowboys in his freshman season at 157 pounds … Defeated Missouri’s Brayden Roberts, 9-6, in his first match of the Cowboy Challenge Tournament before running into No. 3 Brock Mauller (MIZZ) in the semifinals.
2019-20 (Redshirt Year): Only competed in tournaments for the Cowboys… Went 6-5 on the year wrestling at 149 pounds… Picked up two bonus-point victories including a fall at the Oklahoma City Open.
High School: Amassed a 144-15 record wrestling for coach Andy Milder at Winfield Mt. Union High School… Wrestled at Fargo in 2016, 2017 and 2019… Competed at 2017 junior duals… Claimed third at 2018 Preseason Nationals and 2019 Corncob Nationals... Was a three-time state placer in Iowa, taking second in 2017 and 2018 and finishing sixth in 2019… Named to the Muscatine All-Area team and Burlington All-Hawkeye team from 2018-2019… Earned first-team Quad City Times honors in 2018 and 2019… Three-time first-team All-GTNS (2017-2019)… Named to high school honor roll… Participated in golf, cross country and baseball in addition to wrestling… Took part in trap shooting.
Personal: Born to Kelly and Jeannette Kadel on April 4, 2000, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa… Has two brothers, Jake and Tristan… Plans to major in Aviation… Brother Jake wrestled at the University of Iowa from 2012-2016… Brother Tristan golfed at John Brown University, Iowa Central Community College and with the Iowa State club team.
