2019-20: Made his only appearance at the OCU Open where he finished 2-2… Both wins were bonus-point victories – a 16-1 tech fall and an 11-2 major decision.
2018-19: Went 3-3 in his sophomore season… Took second at the OCU Open with one pin before losing to teammate Daton Fix in the finals… Participated in the Reno Tournament of Champions notching his second fall of the season.
2017-18: Did not compete.
2016-17 (Redshirt Year): Went 3-6 overall at 133 pounds during his redshirt season, competing exclusively in open tournaments … two of his three wins came by way of first-period falls … Made appearances at the Outlaw Open, Bob Smith Open and Norsemen Open.
High School: A local product, went 117-20 at Stillwater High School competing for head coach Doug Chesbro … Tallied three top-five finishes at the state tournament, including a No. 1 finish in 2014 … Also earned all-state honors … Academic Honor Roll recipient … Participated in National Honor Society and Beta Club.
Personal: Born Nov. 3, 1997 in Edmond, Okla. … Parents are Roger and Cathy Nieman … Has two siblings, Matthew and Elizabeth … Plans to major in Chemical Engineering.
