  The newest member of the Oklahoma State coaching staff is Ben Williams, who joins the Cowgirls as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015.

   A native of Liverpool, England, Williams recently completed his collegiate playing career at Oklahoma Wesleyan in Bartlesville, Okla. A two-time all-conference performer for the Eagles and the 2011 MCAC Newcomer of the Year as a freshman in 2011, Williams recorded seven goals and six assists in 75 career games and was a team captain during his junior and senior seasons. He led OKWU to four NAIA National Tournament appearances, one of those resulting in a trip to the quarterfinals, and three conference championships.

   Williams, who is pursuing a degree in exercise science, was a three-time MCAC Scholar Athlete and earned an NAIA Champion of Character Award in 2014.

   Williams also spent two seasons playing for the Vermont Voltage, which competes in the USL Premier Development League.

   Williams’ coaching experience includes spending time as an assistant at Bartlesville High School as well as with the Bartlesville Football Club, whose ’99 girls squad was the OPL Gold Champions. He has also helped with camps at Oklahoma Wesleyan and with the Vermont Voltage.

   Williams holds FA Level 1 and USSF D coaching licenses.
