Mitchell’s Career Stats
2020-21 (Junior Season)
• Game-by-Game Stats
• Named an Academic All-Big 12 selection following his junior season. He was one of a school-record five Cowboys to earn the league’s academic honor in 2021.
• Awarded a scholarship by Mike Boynton in a heart-warming video that went viral on Jan. 17, 2021 - two years to the date of his joining the team following the midseason walk-on tryouts in 2019.
• One of the keys behind OSU’s nine wins over AP Top-25 squads, the program’s first Big 12 Championship title game appearance since 2005 and its first NCAA Tournament victory since 2009.
• Epitomized the program’s #LetsWork mentality over his 30-game career at OSU. During his three seasons with the Cowboys, Mitchell shot 44.4 percent from the floor and 71.4 percent from the stripe.
• Suited up for six games in 2020-21, including the wins at No. 6 West Virginia and at Iowa State, as well as the NCAA Tournament second-round game against Oregon State.
2019-20 (Sophomore Season)

• Posted a +5.0 plus/minus per 40 minutes, which ranked third on the OSU roster.
• Earned time in 19 games (112:50) for the Cowboys thanks to a relentless work ethic and a strong defensive presence.
• Was a game-high +18 without taking a shot in 17:45 minutes of playing time in the win over TCU. That earned him game MVP honors from coach Mike Boynton.
• Earned his first career start in the win at Houston, where he had 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assists and zero turnovers in 15:45.
• Also earned a start against Minnesota, and finished with a career high three assists.
• Was 3-of-7 (.429) shooting on the year, and scored in four games.
• Added in eight assists, three steals and one block on the season.
• Saw 10 minutes of action against Wichita State and hit a 3-pointer.

2018-19 (Freshman Season)

• Joined the Cowboy basketball program following the walk-on tryouts on Jan. 17 and first suited up for the game against Texas Tech on Jan. 13.
• Proved a capable member of the squad and saw 24 minutes of action in five appearances for OSU.
• Knocked down a clutch go-ahead 3-pointer at No. 11 Texas Tech that helped the Cowboys take that game to overtime.
• Mitchell played 12 key minutes at Texas Tech, including the entire overtime period when he knocked down a pair of free throws.
• Logged nine minutes against Kansas State, where he shot and made two free throws for his first points in a Cowboy uniform.
• Also saw action against Texas and No. 15 Kansas.
• Was an integral member of the scout team that helped the Cowboys train following the dismissal of four players in January of 2019.
