Joseph “JoJo” Anderson is in his first season as a graduate assistant.
The Houston native carries a wide range of responsibilities within the program tied to player development, scouting and analytics and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from OSU in leisure studies.
Anderson earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Albany in 2021 while double-majoring in communications and sociology.
The 6-foot-3 guard played two seasons for Albany after stops at Northern Arizona and Nevada. Career highlights include a pair of 30-point games for NAU where he averaged better than 11 points per game as a sophomore. He redshirted the following year at Nevada, per NCAA transfer requirements, but was a key practice player for the Wolfpacks’ 2019 NCAA tournament team.
Taking advantage of a bonus year of eligibility due to COVID-19, Anderson finished out his playing career in his hometown, averaging 15.8 points for Our Lady of the Lake on his way to all-conference honors.
A McDonald’s All-American Nominee, Anderson won a pair of state titles at Texas powerhouse Jack Yates High School and competed in the Dick’s High School National Championship with LaLumiere (Ind.).
