Bio
2018 OSU Walk-On Award (outstanding non-scholarship player)
2018 Second Team Academic All-Big 12
2020 Honorable Mention All-Big 12 (Coaches)
2020 Burlsworth Trophy Semifinalist
A lifelong Oklahoma State supporter who chose to walk on at OSU despite having scholarship offers from other schools.
2020 (Senior): A senior leader who was a national semifinalist for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s best player who began his career as a walk-on ... Also included on the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy ... The league’s head coaches chose him as an honorable mention on the All-Big 12 team ... A linchpin on the offensive line who was the only OSU offensive lineman to start every game at the same position in 2020 ... Joined Josh Sills as the only two linemen who started every game ... Served as a game captain in OSU’s win at K-State.
2019 (Junior): Played in 12 games and started five - two at center and three at right guard ... Even when he didn’t start, he rotated in and played a significant number of reps at important times of the game ... Part of a offensive line that paved the way for Chuba Hubbard to lead the FBS in rushing yards and earn All-America and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year status ... Helped the Cowboys average 229.6 rushing yards per game - OSU’s highest average since 2008 ... A factor in the Cowboys ranking in the top 25 nationally in rushing offense, total offense and red zone offense.
2018 (Sophomore): Earned Second Team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... The highlight of his season came when an injury to Johnny Wilson created a vacant starting position at center for the Cowboys’ game against No. 7 West Virginia and Schneider stepped into that role and was outstanding in helping OSU to an upset win over the Mountaineers ... With Schneider helping pave the way, OSU scored 45 points and amassed 604 yards of total offense (266 rushing and 338 passing) against a WVU defense that entered the game allowing 20.9 points and 354.2 yards allowed per game ... The 266 yards of rushing offense for the Cowboys that day more than doubled what the Mountaineers had been giving up on a per-game basis entering the game (121.0) ... Also saw spot duty in games against Texas, Missouri, Missouri State and South Alabama.
2017 (Freshman): Saw action in five games, playing against Tulsa, South Alabama, Pittsburgh, Baylor and Kansas.
2016: Redshirt.
High School: Played for coach Brock Wardlaw at Minco ... Earned all-district honors twice and all-state honors once ... Named his team’s offensive player of the year three times ... Also played basketball and baseball and competed in weightlifting and track and field ... Part of FFA, FCCLA and FCA.
Personal: Born Feb. 10, 1998, in Greeley, Colo. ... Son of Ryan and Nikki Schneider ... Studied business management with an option in sports management.
