2023 (Sophomore): A first team Academic All-Big 12 honoree for the second-straight year ... Played in four games ... Split time evenly in a three-man rotation at quarterback through non-conference play, then played again in the Texas Bowl win over Texas A&M ... Finished the year by completing 21 of 34 pass attempts for 202 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions ... Added 15 carries for 49 yards and another touchdown ... Completed seven of nine passes for 106 yards against Central Arkansas, five of seven passes for 32 yards and a touchdown at Arizona State and nine of 18 passes for 64 yards against South Alabama ... His touchdown pass came on a three-yard pass to De’Zhaun Stribling for the go-ahead score in the second half in Tempe ... Did not attempt a pass against Texas A&M, but did score on a 10-yard run in the second quarter ... Added 19 rush attempts for 70 yards ... The first significant playing time of his career came in the win over UAPB as he completed 12 of 20 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns ... Made his first career start in the win over Iowa State, passing for 103 yards and one touchdown ... His touchdown pass was for 83 yards via a perfectly thrown deep ball down the sideline that marked the longest play allowed by the Iowa State defense during the season ... It was also Oklahoma State’s longest passing play since 2019 at the time and only passed later in the season by an 84-yard pass in the bowl game ... His next-longest pass was a 25-yard score to Cale Cabbiness against UAPB ... His other touchdown pass was the first of his career and went 16 yards to Talyn Shettron against UAPB ... His longest carries of the year were a 24-yard run against UAPB and a 22-yard rush against Kansas State ... Also appeared late in the win over Central Michigan, but did not throw a pass ... Finished the year with six completions that gained at least 15 yards.
2021: Redshirt ... Saw late-game action in OSU’s win over TCU, quarterbacking the Cowboys for the final two drives of the game ... The first was a three play, 69-yard touchdown drive and the second gained a first down to run out the game clock ... Did not attempt any passes, but he did carry the ball one time for one yard.
High School: Played for coach Tucker Barnard at Stillwater and led a historic offense ... Finished his career with several school passing records, including career touchdowns ... Led his team to a 12-1 overall record and a state runner-up finish in both his senior and junior seasons ... Finished his prep career with a 32-5 record after taking over as a starter at the beginning of his sophomore year ... Named The Oklahoman’s 2019 Big All-City Offensive Player of the Year, district MVP and all-state as a senior after passing for 3,481 yards and 47 touchdowns against just three interceptions, completing 224 of 300 pass attempts (74.7%) ... Did most of that without playing in the fourth quarter all season ... Was sacked just two times, with both of those coming in the state championship game ... Stillwater’s offense averaged 57.9 points per game during his senior year, reaching the 70-point mark twice and the 60-point mark five times ... A highlight of his senior year came against Deer Creek as he completed all 19 of his pass attempts in the first half for more than 300 yards and five touchdowns ... Finished his junior campaign 143-for-226 passing for 2,420 yards and 25 touchdowns against five interceptions ... Sacked six times as junior ...
