Bio
2025-26 (Senior)
Rugged power forward is an explosive athlete with a high motor... The only returning member of last year’s rotation, started all 35 games... Excels at the little things that impact winning, especially on the defensive end... Participated in OSU's Spring 2025 commencement after completing his bachelor's degree in University Studies.
2024-25 (Junior):
Started all 35 games for OSU’s NIT quarterfinal team and put up 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.5 minutes… Shot a career-best 78.3% at the foul line on 92 attempts… Drew an average of 4.6 fouls per 40 minutes – second most on the team and 12th best among Big 12 regulars (40+% of minutes played)… Scored in double-figures five times, highlighted by a double-double against Florida Atlantic at the Charleston Classic (Nov. 21) that included career-highs 16 points and 11 rebounds… Tallied 14 points in the Dec. 8 win at Seton Hall… In Big 12 play, posted a pair of 10-point performances in the Feb. 9 win over Arizona State and in the Dec. 30 opener against Houston… Scored nine points on 3-of-3 shooting in the NIT second round win at SMU.
Steve Lutz on Jennings:
"Every team needs a Robert Jennings. He's a great teammate and person who cares deeply about winning and the little things that impact it. He's hard-working, incredibly talented, and never takes a play off. He'll be an outstanding fit for our program, and we're excited to have him."
At Texas Tech (2022-24):
Steadily improved over two seasons in Lubbock, eventually working his way into the starting lineup for the last month of his sophomore season for a team that earned a No. 6 seed in the NCAA tournament… Appeared in 61 total games with 14 starts… Saw action in 31 games and made 10 starts in 2023-24 while averaging 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12.3 minutes… Following starter Warren Washington’s season ending foot injury, started nine of the last 10 games while averaging 6.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 19 minutes… Fell short of the minutes minimum but would have otherwise ranked eighth nationally in offensive rebounding percentage, per Kenpom, grabbing 16.3% of opponent misses during his time on the floor, including 17.4% in Big 12 play… Scored in double-figures three times, highlighted by a 14-point, six-rebound effort against Cincinnati (Feb. 3)… Also had13 points at Iowa State (Feb. 17) and 10 in the Red Raiders’ Big 12 quarterfinal win over BYU (Mar. 14)… Scored an efficient six points in his NCAA tournament debut against NC State (Mar. 21), making both field goal attempts and 2-of-2 free throws to go with two rebounds, two assists and a block in 17 minutes… Appeared in 30 games and made four starts as a true freshman in 2022-23 while averaging 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.7 minutes.
High School:
Consensus three-star recruit, signed with Texas Tech in November of 2021 over offers from Texas A&M, TCU, Missouri, Ole Miss, SMU and Penn State… Home schooled his last two years of high school but participated in athletics through the Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes… Prior to that, attended Desoto High School… Averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds as a senior and helped his team win the Southwest Athletic Interscholastic Conference championship… First team all-conference selection as a junior when he averaged 19 points and 10 boards… Played summer ball with the Texas Impact UAA, which earned a top-4 seed in the Under Armour Association Finals.
Personal:
Born Dec. 2, 2002… Son of Robert and Carolyn Jennings.
